Mass Spectroscopy

Limedion - massenspektronomieMass spectroscopy is a method for measuring mass-charge ratios. Prior the measurement the molecules are fragmented. The fragments are separated by a quadrupole field and measured in either a faraday cup or for higher sensitivity in a channeltron detector.

With mass spectroscopy we can determine elements or chemical compounds for you.

The method is one of the most powerful and most often used analytical method in chemistry. It is used mostly to determine structures and compounds. The combination with other methods, like gas chromatography, allows qualitative and quantitative analysis of you samples.
